Would you like to lose those famous extra kilos? Here are some practical tips that can help you lose weight in a small amount of time!
Let’s be honest: if you want to lose some weight before going to the beach, the right thing to do is to set some goals and rules for yourself. First of all, you’ll have to say bye to lasagna, pasta carbonara and fried food for a while. You should concentrate, instead, on eating healthy food and doing some exercise.
Start gradually: take 40 minute walks every day at a quick pace and slowly make them become an hour long runs. One important rule to follow is to always listen to your body. There might be days where you feel like you’re too tired; if that’s the case just stop, you’ll be able to do more the next day.
Slowly start introducing some exercises in your daily routine that will help you tone your body. Do at least 3 sets of 10 repetitions of squats, crunches, lunges and push-ups.
I’m sorry to tell you that you’ll have to leave out some of your favorite foods, or at least reduce the quantity of them.
I know you probably love eggs but, together with cheese, you must reduce them to a maximum of 1-2 times a week. The fact that they are full of proteins could cause some problems- even though a relatively high protein intake is safe, eating big amounts of it may lead to some diseases. Meat will be reduced to one time a week because it has fats that won’t help you lose weight. If you’re a fish lover you can easily eat it 2-3 times a week; fish is full of vitamin B12, iron and Omega3 which are essential for the proper functioning of the immune system.
HOW TO DETOX
Vegetables will become your priority. You’re free to choose whatever veggie you like most, but make sure to vary them. Vegetables are essential because they lack calories and are full of water, vitamins and minerals.
Another thing that may help you shed off those extra kilos are herbal teas. Studies have found that some teas may encourage weight loss. There are many different flavors like thyme, rosemary, sage, mint or ginger. Each of them have stimulating and tonic properties which will help you drain your body. If herbal teas are not your thing, a substitute could be flavored water.
Cereals should be part of your new diet too, especially whole grains because they have a low glycemic index. Together with cereals, legumes provide all the essential amino acids necessary for the wellbeing of the body.
For breakfast, I suggest a smoothie made with fruit and yogurt which are rich in minerals, vitamins and antioxidants. Eating dried fruit as a snack during the day is very important as well, however, don’t consume more than 30/40 grams a day!
