Halloween is coming up! Do you have a super scary party to go to but don’t know what make-up to wear? Or maybe you’re afraid you won’t be able to do it? Don’t worry, here are 4 fast and easy make-up ideas for Halloween!
It’s easy to get frustrated for your Halloween make-up after seeing all those beautiful looks by famous Make-up Artists on Instagram. What if I told you that it’s not that difficult to create a scary but glam look? All it takes is dark eyeshadows, products to make special effects and a red or burgundy lipstick.
1. MAKE-UP FROM THE ’20s
The make-up look from the ‘20s has become a classic one. It’s elegant and very sophisticated, but super easy to make. For the base use a light foundation, but be careful to blend it on your neck too. After, apply a lot of setting powder to have a matte finish.
For the eyebrows, they should be very thin and, if they’re not, you can use a method to “erase”them. Brush them upwards with glue and then set them with powder. Then, apply concealer, another layer of powder and draw them as you like!
For the eyes you should do a smokey-eye, with colors like violet and brown. If you don’t know how to do it, you may use a black eyeliner and then blend it outwards with a brush. After this you should apply fake lashes: the more voluminous, the better!
Lastly, we have the classic heart-shaped lips. Starting from the cupid’s bow, use a red lipliner and draw a heart. After, apply lipstick: you may choose from red, to burgundy, to violet. If you’re looking for a glam finish apply glitter!
The zombie is of the most used looks for Halloween make-up. All you need is an eyeshadow palette which contains shades of brown and purple. The trick is to emphasize the natural shape of your face. Start with blending brown eyeshadow on the eyelids, under the cheekbones, on the neck, temples and at the sides of the nose. To draw heavy eye bags, use purple and blue eyeshadow.
The vampire make-up look is always very popular on Halloween. For the eyes, my advice is to use dark eyeshadows or a nude one but with an intense eyeliner. If you want to have a scary look, you can use blue or red eye contact lenses.
As for the lips, any dark color is fine. You can have fun using plastic canines and fake blood!
4. FAKE WOUNDS AND SCARS
If you want to make your look extra creepy, use collodion to create fake scars! It’s a clear solution created for special effects make-up and as it dries, it wrinkles the skin. You can create deeper scarring effects by repeating the application.
For fake wounds you can use liquid latex. Apply some foundation on it and, when it’s completely dry, roll the edges towards the center and coat with another layer of latex. For the fake blood effect, you can dab the “wound” with red lipstick and then blend it with brown, purple and black eyeshadows.
